The nature and magnitude of hardship these days show up in different forms and ways. We are staying home, wearing masks, losing jobs, losing loved ones, losing lives, getting bored, dealing with the kids, educating the kids, and facing a myriad of other challenges every day.
In the arts community, especially those in the performing arts, dare I say particularly for those whose movements depend on others lifting them, the challenges take a different form. Festival Ballet Providence and its talented staff have a special place for me from the days of Orchis. Now, essentially grounded, they are all trying to keep the organization intact. And, to this end, Festival Ballet Providence is offering a Virtual Gala. Read the details there, very attractive indeed!
Participate in Their Virtual Gala
I hope you see the challenges they are facing and consider supporting the organization with your donation to their virtual gala. In return, you will get a chance to see their work, learn more about the dancers, and best of all, you will know you are supporting arts, performing arts, ballet, and ballet education, and keep them moving and flying! The Gala is around the corner, May 29-31, 2020, and you will have content to watch.
Here is a reminder of Orchis, a ballet based on my photographs and commissioned by Festival Ballet Providence. Please consider giving and giving generously.
