Sunset Over Providence

July 3, 2017 by A. Cemal Ekin
Providence

Things look different at different times and from different vantage points. A couple of weeks ago, I got a chance to look at Providence from high above and just around sunset time. From that height, it is easier to see many parts, all at once. On the right, the Providence River; a little further, Wickenden Street. Turn a little more to see the power plant with its tall smokestacks; further to the right, the old jewelry district, leading to the downtown area where you could see the old Industrial Trust Building and the financial district skyscrapers. We spent a couple of hours looking in different directions, watching the sun go down and change the mood. The following 20-second video shows the sunset over the financial center. There is no sound.

Below is a small collection to give you a sense of being there.

    Great frames!
Having entered my heavy season as per usual every year, I regret not being able to reserve the time to chat with you over some of your great work.
In quite a few cases, I have different views on the crops; namely the graphical bold ones.

    Stay well!

Good to hear from you Haluk. When you have more time, share with me your thoughts on the crops. Don’t work too hard, relax, it is too hot outside!

      Cemal
