I have shown the photographs of Hagia Sophia in several exhibits since 2010, and along with that, you might have seen the photographs from Panagia Isodion church in Istanbul. If you missed the previous exhibits and would like to see these unique photographs, you have one more chance.
Sacred Spaces Large and Small: Hagia Sophia & Panagia Isodion, II, will be on display in the Davol Corridor Gallery of Hasbro and Rhode Island Hospitals. Due to space limitations and because some were sold, 12 photographs will be on display between March 24 – April 28, 2015. There will be a reception and gallery talk on April 2, 2015, 5:00 – 7:00 PM. If you are in Rhode Island and would like to join us, come on over.
This is the last chance to see this collection of photographs. After this showing I am retiring these photographs from the exhibit circuit, barring extraordinary circumstances. Anyone wishing to see and/or purchase them will have to arrange for a private showing. You can find more information in the exhibit catalog and view the digital photographs in the same gallery. Look for the catalog at the bottom of the first column. However, the prints, dye sublimated on aluminum can only be appreciated in person.

If I were there, definitely willing.. What a pity that I am not.
Colleagues should not miss that very chance if they happen to be in Rhode Island.
Especially for places as vulnerable to ups and downs as Istanbul, I would strongly recommend to either visit the fantastic experience before it is not there like it is anymore, or buy some magically beautiful interpretations from Cemal.
Kindest regards from (now a very much warmer) Antalya!

Haluk, I hope one day you get a chance to see the prints. If one day these treasures are missed the digital copies will remain to remind the people how gorgeous they were; and I hope that day never comes!
Believe it or not, our weather is still chilly! When it reaches 10 degrees Centigrade we think it is “summer”!
Take care,
Cemal
