Vibrant Front Yard Garden
With the smoke and debris from the Canadian wildfires, we could not go far beyond where the wild roses bloomed. But, there was plenty of interest in our gardens to photograph. The front yard was particularly colorful this spring filled with about 650 bulbs of tulips, daffodils, muscari, and allium. We enjoyed them as they rolled out their bright blossoms and made even people going by stop and take selfies.
Although I have written about our flowers before, this year the garden has been more colorful. The collection below contains frames with little or no ill effects from the previous cameras. As we struggled with camera problems, we could not take many photographs of their beauty.
Click on the images to see them larger, uncropped, and read their titles.
After that, it was time for the rhododendron to dominate the view with its pink blossoms. Then the mountain laurel put together bundles of tiny buds resembling miniature maces. After they bloom, the look changes with dozens of pink chandeliers. They never stop calling for more views or more photographs.
And In The Backyard
In the backyard garden, clematis was an early and prolific bloomer this year. The loosestrife with spikes of yellow flowers tried to catch up and eventually did. A little lower, stonecrop flowers covered the ground with their yellow star-like flowers. In the meantime, irises put on their show with yellow, blue, and deep blue flowers in the front and the backyard. And the honeysuckle was very prolific this year, with vibrant flowers all over the trellis.
One of our rose bushes is not well this year. But the other one near the fence was very prolific with its deep red flowers. Oenothera, the evening primrose is losing ground for some reason. It used to be as prolific as the loosestrife. But this year, only a few stalks remain with lovely yellow flowers.
We are waiting for our giant sunflowers to reach the sky and bloom above us!

All these beautiful flowers are there blooming because Jan and you have a special heart for them..
..together with a pair of eyes that does not only look but also can see and take lovely photos.
Very refreshing and heart-warming, Cemal. Thanks for sharing.
You have also proven that one does not necessarily have to buy thousand mile flight tickets for photographing natural beauties.
Take care and kindest regards,
Haluk
