Spring is around the corner, but today the indecision ruled! Early morning, it snowed but it did not amount to much. By around 10 AM it was sunny and not much snow to see on the ground. Then, it started raining a little. When I left the house for Cozy Grill for lunch, I had to cover my camera under my jacket. When I left the diner, it was quite pleasant, no rain, blue skies. I drove down to South County Art Association to pick up Jan’s photographs from the exhibit that they took down today. As I waited in the car for the gallery to open, it was bright and sunny.
I picked up the photographs, got in the car and started to drive to Providence to stop at Peter Miller Fine Arts gallery. Several times in short time, and not too far driving, the weather changed from blinding snowfall to blue sky with puffy clouds. Since I had my camera next to me, I periodically lifted it up and took photographs through the windshield to record the weather changes. By the time I was in providence, it was still sunny but getting overcast quickly. I had to drive around a little to find a parking spot and by the time I found a spot it was snowing quite hard, I took the first photograph outside the car looking at the dark façade of the restaurant with snow coming hard.
I spent a little time inside the gallery, taking a few photographs of the walls for mock exhibit hanging. By the time I walked outside, it was sunny with blue skies. As I headed home there was more snow and slow traffic. When I finally made it home, snow was still coming down. I left Jan’s photographs in the car to prevent them from getting wet.
Below are the photographs of today’s quick change artist: The Weather! I took the first one at 12:17:43, and the last at 13:40:29, one hour 23 minutes time span. In addition to documenting the odd weather day, I like the photographs for their spontaneity. Some are quite good indeed.
