After some years of taking photographs and entering club competitions, Jan finally pulled up enough nerve to submit two of her photographs to the juried photo exhibit at the South County Art Association, one of the oldest in the state. Both of her photographs were juried in! She was, of course, quite pleased.
Yesterday evening we went to the opening reception where about 30 photographers whose 50+ photographs were hanging on the wall. We even met a few friends there, later on, Nermin and Jim came to be with Jan and to see the exhibit. There was a nice spread in the back room with some wine, cheese, crackers, cookies, etc. to offer the guests. We stayed for about an hour and a half, viewed the photographs a few times, chewed the fat with friends, and returned home.
Here are some photographs from the opening reception and Jan’s winning photographs.
