Cold weather, snow, ice, and rain have made it impossible to take walks in the neighborhood until today. It was a balmy 40°F, almost 4.5°C. I took a decent-length stroll. For me, it meant a tad over a half-mile, almost 900 m. A major accomplishment that took me a little over twenty minutes.
A Walk in 40°F Feels Warm
Don’t get me wrong, it was still quite cold, and I even ended up putting on my heavy gloves. But, it felt good to hold the camera for the first time since December of last year. Oh, yes, I took a few pictures of the snow with my phone here and there. Holding a camera feels different although I know many of you may disagree.
There wasn’t much to photograph around, other than mud-splattered snow and drab streets. Then I noticed the reflections in the puddles. They looked like reruns of the snowstorm with the help of the white specs on the pavement. I am sharing them just to show that I am still keeping some light in my camera!
Better outing days are ahead. I may even try to walk for 30 minutes one day!

Bravo, Cemal. I know the feeling and it takes some courage to walk when it is 4 degrees. I hope there was no wind. Surprisingly for Antalya, last week it went down to 2 degrees and I tried to walk – with heavy clothing. The main problem is the battery – it goes flat in no time (I have a mirrorless camera which drains the batteries in no time when cold).
The photos definitely reflect your feelings during your walk. I liked them, although they are a bit too blue for my taste (*)
Take care and best regards,
Haluk
(*) interestingly, as I get older, I find that more and more of the time I go to to colour settings and desaturate the blues :)

Haluk, 2 degrees in Antalya? What is the world coming to?!! Too blue, eh? That is part of the snowfall reenactment I guess! Good to hear from you.
Take care,
Cemal

It is good that you were able to get out. I have had to walk the dog several times a day to and it is quite a struggle for me. Better weather is coming this week. Maybe it will be better for both of us
Enjoy your images

Oh, dog walking is indeed a challenge. For the last few months, a dog walker takes Karma out twice a day. Today is already sunny, maybe even warmer. Maybe I will take Jan for a ride somewhere.
Stay well,
Cemal

Love the reflections: they really add to the beauty of Nature around us. Even if it is in a puddle! Glad that you have been able to get out a bit. It is surprising how just a little fresh air and change of scenery can lift one’s spirits. Hope all is well with you both. Best regards and stay safe.

Glad to hear from you guys! Yes, on occasion, I can make a short tour of a block nearby. We continue on our track, 99% of the time we are home. We only go to places we have to, like a grocery store, drugstore, or doctor’s office.
We hope you are keeping safe and healthy. Take care,
Cemal
