Mina having fun

2014 Christmas Tree

December 20, 2014 by A. Cemal Ekin
Mina having fun

I found a very shapely Fraser Fir tree at the nearby nursery, just before Mina and Elif arrived. Fearing that it may sell by the time they landed, I purchased it and asked them to put it on the tree stand and deliver it today. On our way back from the airport, we were able to stop by and see the tree to get Mina’s approval, and she nodded her head with a simile. It was like a nicely sharpened pencil tip, and they delivered it earlier today.

After waiting for the branches to settle down, the girls did a very nice job putting on the lights, ornaments, and later Mina added the candy cane we picked up. When the time came to put the treetop angel Mina tried to reach on a step stool but that did not work; so the Dede-lift raised her high enough so that she could finish the decorating job. After that was done, Dede-lift gave Mimi a little ride around the living room. That done, we are now gearing up for the Nutcracker ballet tomorrow.

More to come …

Lovely moments, Cemal. I not only appreciate it but also (shhh.. nobody should hear) eat my heart out a bit :)
May you have wonderful & healthy days in the forecoming days, weeks, months and many years.

I like the utilisation of every bit of energy seeing the very narrow piece of radiator behind the main entrance door. I had never seen such a small slice of radiator before. Well thought.

Be careful with your backbone, since your posture as you start lifting is somewhat off the secure angles.

Going from frame to frame is nice; at the end the two last frames keep repeating. Is that on purpose?

    Best regards from Antalya!

You were right Haluk, powered by home-made humus Dede-lift functioned well once more. Lovely moments indeed. The small radiator is narrow but tall and just fits in the hallway. The last two photos are different, in the last one you should see me, Mina, and Jan posing for the camera. Have you tried starting with the last one after reloading the page?

Happy new year to you all.

i particularly liked the image with the tree reflected in the TV. Also Mina with the Christmas ornament eyes.

Lovely photos Cemal. It makes me wish we still had a young granddaughter to enjoy the holidays with. It is what Christmas is all about-having family around to share with. And that is what your photos show. I enjoyed the story.
